Cornelia Staritz is Senior Researcher at the Austrian Foundation for Development Research (ÖFSE) and Research Associate at Policy Research in International Services and Manufacturing (PRISM), University of Cape Town, South Africa. Sheholds Master degrees in Economics and Commerce and a Doctorate in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a PhD in Economics from theNew School for Social Research in New York. Her research focuses on economic development, international trade, global value chains and production networks, private sector development, and commodity-based development.
