Joy V. Abrenica
Dr. Abrenica is an economist and specializes in the teaching of international trade and industrial organization courses. Her research interests are in the fields of competition policy, trade in services, economic integration, and technology.
She was Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies at Kobe University in Japan in 2004, a Research Fellow at the Graduate School of International Development at Nagoya University in Japan in 2001-2002, a Research Fellow at the Institute for Development and Policy Management at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in 1997 and a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the Center for European Studies of the University of Limburg in Maastricht the Netherlands in 1996.
Dr. Abrenica is also expert in the analysis of industrial organization issues and has written extensively on automotive, telecommunications, power, and transport; energy; as well as productivity issues. She has been invited to deliver her papers in numerous conferences abroad. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
