Kiranne Guddoy

Programme Officer, Development & Competitiveness

Kiranne leads ICTSD ‘s strategic project on global value chains and sustainable development as part of the Development & Competitiveness programme.

Previously Kiranne was the managing editor of Bridges Africa, a leading publication that provides trade related analysis from a sustainable development perspective for high-level policymakers and influencers. 

Her areas of focus at ICTSD are international trade, global economic governance and development issues with a particular focus on Africa.

She was previously with the Trade Department of the French embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh; the Commission of International and European Affairs of the French Senate in Paris, France; and with the UNESCO in Dakar, Senegal. 

She holds a double master’s degree in Economics and Development Project Management. She earned a bachelor degree in International Law with a focus on international economic law from Paris, France. 

Kiranne is bilingual in French and in English, and holds multiple citizenships from France, Mauritius and India.
