Sonja Grater

Researcher and lecturer, NWU

Sonja Grater is a senior lecturer in the School of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). She lectures under- and post-graduate courses in the degree B Com International Trade. She has also gained some years of practical experience in the freight forwarding industry before joining the university. Her focus of research is on trade in services and she has authored several publications in this field. She is particularly interested in the potential of services trade within a Southern African regional context and the role of services in regional integration. She is also involved in research and analysis of trade facilitation in the southern African region, as well as regional value chains and trade corridors.
