This
session explored how WTO negotiations might address oversupply and long
term price declines in commodity markets by removing trade distortions
and barriers. In particular, it reviewed relevant provisions in the
WTO July framework such those dealing with dumping, food aid, tropical
products, special products, special safeguard mechanisms, and the erosion
of preferences.
