Description
During
this informal lunch discussion, Professor Kirkpatrick presented
his analysis of the current realities surrounding international
trade in environmental services in its various modes and discuss
what this may imply for developing countries with respect to the
ongoing GATS negotiations.
Professor Kirkpatrick's
findings and analysis are based on research commissioned by ICTSD
as part of our ongoing project on environmental goods and services.
Comments
and suggestions made during the discussion will be taken into account
by Professor Kirkpatrick in finalising his research. The final paper
will be disseminated to key stakeholders including Geneva-based
trade delegates.
