International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD)
and ECO-Accord are pleased to invite you to discuss the implications
of accession to the WTO of the Russian Federation and emerging
trade issues and the launch of BRIDGES Russian Edition on Thursday
22nd November, 2007, in Moscow, at the President-Hotel from 9.00
to 18.30 in St-Petersburg Hall.
This
conference features expertsf presentations and roundtable discussions
on the relationship between trade and sustainable development
focusing on issues of current importance in the Eastern European
and Central Asia region such as: WTO accession and its implications,
the WTO and Energy, regulation of trade in services and agricultural
goods. To ensure an open discussion and expression of different
opinions, the conference brings together government officials,
representatives of international and regional NGOs, academia,
the private sector and mass media.
The
highlight of the event is the launch of BRIDGES RUSSIA, a new
periodical providing analysis and news on trade issues in the
Eastern European and Central Asia region. This monthly publication
will review developments in regional and international trade agreements
and examine the implications for sustainable development. BRIDGES
RUSSIA is a Russian language publication.
