An ICTSD Workshop iexploring the opportunities and risks in liberalizing trade in services for selected developing countries and LDCs will take place 26 June 2006 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. at the International Environment House II, Rhone Room.

The Workshop will bring together expersts from Mozambique, Nicaragua, Pakistan and Tanzania to discuss a series of country studies they are preparing. These studies investigate the opportunities and challenges in liberalizing trade in selected services sectors and modes of supply and possible options regarding the corollary regulatory reform and other realted measures that may be needed to achieve these goals. They will be joined by delegates from Missions of Mozambique, Nicariagua, Pakistan and aTanzania who will provide feedback on the preliminary outlines and exchange information on the situation in their countries.
