Participants
The
dialogue will bring together a group of 30-35 key stakeholders
including international experts, policy-makers from the region,
Geneva-based delegates, and people from the business community,
academia and civil society. As with previous regional dialogues
on trade in services organized by ICTSD, the dialogue will be
conducted in an open, informal manner. Discussions will be initiated
by short presentations by practitioners, scholars and government
officials followed by open debate among participants. In all of
these, the perspective from the private sector as well as those
with a stake in seeking to influence decision-making, with a view
to ensuring rational and coherent policies towards sustainable
development will be incorporated.
