Fifth World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference was held
in Cancun, Mexico, between 10 and 14 September 2003.

ICTSD
Activities In Cancun
As
during the past four WTO Ministerial Conferences in Doha,
Singapore, Geneva
and Seattle, ICTSD provided
its audiences with tools for a better understanding of the issues at
the crossroads between trade and sustainable development in the lead-up,
duration, and aftermath of the WTO Ministerial. During the Cancun Ministerial,
ICTSD engaged in the following activities:

Session of the Global Biodiversity Forum (GBF) on Biodiversity,
Trade, and Sustainable Development. ICTSD co-convened the GBF
in advance of the 5th Ministerial Conference of the WTO on 5-7 September
in Cancun, Mexico. BRIDGES

Daily Updates on the Ministerial Conference. As in past Conferences,
ICTSD provided multilingual printed and electronic versions of BRIDGES
Daily Updates on-site and via ICTSD's and its partners' websites
and listserv services. At Cancun, together with its regional partners,
ICTSD produced BRIDGES Daily Updates in English, French, Spanish,
German, Portuguese, Chinese and Russian.
