PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WHILE THE WTO MINISTERIAL IS SCHEDULED
TO RUN FROM 13-18 DECEMBER 2005, IN THE PAST IT HAS SOMETIMES
GONE BEYOND ITS CLOSING DEADLINE. THIS MIGHT AFFECT BOTH HOTEL
AND AIR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS.
Ministerial
Venue
The
Sixth Ministerial Conference will take place in the Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The HKCEC is
located on the northern coast of Hong Kong Island in the district
of Wanchai.

NGO
Centre
The
NGO Centre will be located at "Phase I" of the Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This is the first
time a WTO Ministerial Conference NGO Centre will be located under
the same roof as the Conference proceedings.

Centre
The
Press Centre will be located inside the Hong Kong Convention and
Exhibition Centre.
Organising
Committee
The
Organising Committee has established a Host
Government website. The Hong Kong government has appointed
Denise Yue coordinator
of the Steering Committee.

Hotels
The
Grand
Hyatt Hong Kong and Renaissance
Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong are the appointed Ministerial
Conference hotels.

Security
The
Hong Kong government has established a restricted access area
around the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for the
duration of the Ministerial Conference.

Weather
December is generally regarded as
one of the best months for weather in Hong Kong. Precipitation
is low at this time of year. Temperatures are commonly between
20C-25C, but can dip much lower at night.
