ACTS: The African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) is an international inter-governmental policy research and training organization located in Nairobi, Kenya. The Centre's activities focus on the implementation of Agenda 21 and related conventions on biological diversity, climate change and desertification.

CAA: Community Aid Abroad is an independent, Australian, secular and voluntary community-based organisation affiliated with Oxfam International. It brings together people from diverse backgrounds, beliefs and cultures in order to build a fairer world.

CASIN: The Centre for Applied Studies in International Negotiations is an independent, non-profit foundation supervised by the Swiss Federal Department of the Interior. CASIN focuses its programmes and activities on improving governance through negotiation, mediation and dialogue. CASIN's web site provides information about its programmes and activities.
CBI: The Consensus Building Institute, affiliated with the Masachusetts Institute of Technology, works to bring consensus-building and negotiating capacity to governments at the local, national and international level. CBI's web site features further information about the organisation's activities.
Cedarena : CEDARENA, or the Environment and Natural Resources Law Center, is a Costa Rican non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to advancing environmentally friendly, sustainable practices through law and policy. Its website is accessible in both Spanish and English.
Christian Aid: Christian Aid is an international network of faith-based organisations that work in 60 countries around the world. It works to help people in poor countries become self-sufficient and campaigns on their behalf in the developed world. The Christian Aid website features a number of reports, publications and news briefs.
CID-HARVARD: The Center for International Development is Harvard University's center for interdisciplinary research on sustainable international development. CID maintains the Global Trade Negotiations Home Page, a storehouse for research on international trade and multilateral trade negotiations.
CIEL: The Center for International Environmental Law is a public-interest international law firm that works to develop and strengthen environmental law, policy, and management around the world. Its website features publications and other resources about the relationship between international trade and the environment.
Consumers International: Consumers International is a global coalition of over 260 member organisations in 112 countries. It campaigns around the world on behalf of consumer rights. The CI website offers a number of publications relevant to international trade policy.
CSE: The Centre for Science and Environment, based in India, works to raise the profile of environmental issues at the international level. It publishes a journal, Down to Earth, available on the CSE website.
CUTS: The Consumer Unity & Trust Society has four program areas: the Centre for Human Development; the Centre for Consumer Action Research and Training; Safety Watch; and the Centre for International Trade, Economics, & Environment. The CUTS site offers information about its upcoming activities and publications.
ENDA-Tiers Monde : Environnement et Developpement du Tiers Monde, based in Dakar, Senegal, is an international network of groups dedicated to alleviating poverty in the Third World. ENDA's website fetures information about the various projects and groups involved in its work.
FARN: Fundacion Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, based in Argentina, promotes sustainable development in society, politics and the economy. Its website features a number of useful resources, mostly in Spanish.
FFLA: Fondacion Futuro Latinamerico works in Central and South America on issues of sustainable development. FFLA is the co-publisher of PUENTES, the Spanish edition of BRIDGES Between Trade and Sustainable Development. FFLA's web site is in Spanish and contains information about its publications and activities.

FIELD: The Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development is based from the Law Department of the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. The organisation promotes: the development of the law through research; the dissemination of the law through teaching, training and publishing; and the application of the law through advocacy and the provision of advice and assistance. The website features information about its various projects across many area of sustainable development.
FOCUS: FOCUS on the Global South is a program of progressive development policy research and practice dedicated to regional and global policy analysis. FOCUS works with NGOs in the Asia Pacific and other regions, producing conferences, an electronic bulletin, and publications.

GERMANWATCH is a German NGO engaged in directing German policy towards sustainability for the countries of the South as well as those of the North. The organisation promotes the readiness of the German population to accept the structural changes necessary to ensure southern countries the chance for self-determined development. In collaboration with ICTSD, GERMANWATCH produces a German-language version of BRIDGES monthly entitled "Brücken zwischen Handel und Zukunftsfähiger Entwicklung".
IATP: The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy's mission is to create and protect environmentally and economically sustainable rural communities and regions through agriculture and trade policy. IATP provides research and communications support to help public interest organisations build coalitions and influence local, national, and international policies. IATP's site provides a comprehensive guide to international trade and agriculture; IATP also maintains WTOWATCH.ORG, an informational site on the WTO.
IISD : The International Institute for Sustainable Development conducts research and makes policy recommendations on international trade and investment from an environmentally conscious, development-focused perspective.Its website contains excellent resources on trade and sustainable development, reporting on global environmental events, calendars, and other resources on sustainable development.
IPS : The InterPress Service is a global network of journalists writing on issues surrounding human security. Originally conceived as a communications bridge between the countries of the North and South, IPS has expanded into a global non-governmental service that delivers content in seven languages.
IUCN: The World Conservation Union is the only environmental organisation at the international level that has both governmental and non-governmental members. As the world's largest conservation-related organisation, it brings together 77 States, 130 governmental agences, 752 NGOs and some 10,000 scientists and experts from 181 countries to advance the cause of sustainable development. IUCN's web site features news updates and program information.
MS-Denmark : Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (Danish Association for International Cooperation) is a Danish organisation combining development assistance with political lobbying and grassroots activism. The mandate of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke is to promote understanding and solidarity between people and, by co-operating across national and cultural boundaries, to contribute to sustainable global development and a just distribution of the earth's resources.
North-South Center: The North-South Center is a research centre at the University of Miami dedicated to the intensive study of international relationships in the Americas. As an independent research and educational organisation, it produces policy-oriented research aimed at resolving critical issues. Its website features policy papers and information about the Center's research.
NOVIB: The Netherlands Organisation for International Development Cooperation works to realise the structural and sustainable alleviation of poverty in the developing world. As a member of Oxfam International, NOVIB coordinates with over 700 partner organisations to deliver aid and advice to help the poor help themselves. NOVIB's site is in Dutch.
NWF: The National Wildlife Federation is the largest member-supported conservation group in the United States. It works to protect wildlife, wild places, and the environment through policy advocacy, research, public information and outreach. The NWF website maintains a special section on trade and the environment.
OXFAM : Oxfam GB is a development, relief, and campaigning organisation dedicated to finding lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world. Its website features more information about its programs and activities, as well as background information about the Oxfam network.

QUNO : The Quaker United Nations Office works with diplomats at the UN to facilitate dialogue and understanding. The Quakers focus on four issues: disarmament, economic and social development, human rights and peacebuilding. Further information about the organisation's activities is available on the QUNO website.

SCDO: The Swiss Coalition of Development Organizations is an association of five non-governmental organisations: Swissaid, the Catholic Lenten Fund, Bread for All, Helvetas and Caritas. Swiss Coalition NGOs provide extensive information on many development-related topics to influence policy in favour of the least advantaged.

SDPI : The Sustainable Development Policy Institute, based in Pakistan, is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental research institute established to provide advice to public, private and voluntary organisations and to undertake policy-oriented research, advocacy on issues of public interest.

Solagral : Solagral is an international non-governmental organisation that focuses on the problems globalisation poses for food security, agriculture and natural resource preservation. The Solagral site offers information on its campaigns and its particular areas of interest.
TNI: The Transnational Institution is an international network of activist-scholars engaged in public scholarship. TNI publishes progressive analyses of global issues, including poverty and inequality, militarism, and environmental degradation, with the goal of influencing public opinion, and ultimately public policy. 
WWF : The World Wide Fund for Nature is the world's largest independent conservation organization. It conducts a number of global campaigns and information outreach programs. WWF also produces original research and policy documents on international trade, which are available on its website.
