4-5 February, Geneva, Switzerland: UNCTAD COMMISION ON ENTERPRISE, BUSINESS FACILITATION, AND DEVELOPMENT-12TH SESSION. The Commission will examine the policy options available to developing countries for improving the competitiveness of their small and medium-sized enterprises through improved integration into global value chains. Discussions will include reducing transport costs and enhancing connectivity to global transport networks through trade and transport facilitation measures, thereby increasing their enterprises´ access to global markets. The annual Chatham House conference on Middle East Energy will focus on the Middle East's continued role as the dominant global energy supplier and how the region will tackle current and emerging challenges. 5-7 February, Phnom Penh, Cambodia: HIGH-LEVEL REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON TRADE-RELATED CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT IN SELECTED EAST ASIAN COUNTRIES. The conference will discuss issues related to the strengthening of local capacities and training methodologies in the areas of trade and development, particularly for Bhutan, Indonesia, Nepal and Viet Nam.
