Ella Kokotsis is a director of external relations of G8 and G20 Research Group, Munk School of Global Affairs (research industry) since 2009. She graduated from Queen’s University, Canada and was a post-graduate student of University of Toronto.
Since 2008 she also serves as communications advisor and independent electricity system operator at Government Agency (Utilities industry). Her former position is director of research at G8 Research Group, Munk School of Global Affairs (2000 – 2009).
She consulted on key policy initiatives with G8 governments and non-governmental organizations and directed the research and publication of G8 analytical documents. Her scholarly research methodology for assessing compliance continues as the basis for the annual G8 and G20 accountability reports produced by the G8 and G20 Research Groups.
She is holder of various honors and awards, such as Special Opportunity Grant for Doctoral Students (Government of Canada), Dean’s Award (Queen’s University), Motivational Speaker at 2010 Model G8 (Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade's Summits Management Office (SMO), Sir Val Duncan Research Award (Centre for International Studies), etc.
