Georgia Taylor is the head of WISE Development, specialising in gender equality and women’s empowerment and a part of DAI. She worked for 20 years in development programming, for DFID and as a consultant. She has also been head of a DFID country office in Central America and the Reproductive and Child Health policy team. Her technical experience focuses on women’s economic empowerment, tackling violence against women and girls, improving women’s access to maternal, newborn and child health, and sexual and reproductive health, with a particular emphasis on equity in health. Georgia has engaged in government and UN policy processes, around CEDAW and ICPD, as well as the HIPC process. She also has experience of working in retail and wholesale business and economic development in the UK.
