Johanna Silvander

Researcher, International Labour Organisation

Johanna Silvander works at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in the Research Department where she focuses on legal and policy-oriented research in the areas of labour market reforms (particularly in Europe); conducive business environment; international investment protection and labour; and the law-poverty-gender nexus.  She previously worked for the United Nations International Labour Organization Country Office for Lusaka (2008-2011) and also headed her own consulting company in Finland (2012-2013), focusing on trade, gender & development assignments as well as legal services. She holds a Masters degree in International Law from the Åbo Akademi University in Finland.
