Keron Niles holds the post of Research Consultant and Co-ordinator of the Creative Industries Exchange (CIE) at the Shridath Ramphal Centre for International Trade Law, Policy and Services. His research areas include international trade law and services. He is currently working on matters pertaining to Economic Partnership Agreements, (with specific focus on Investment, Trade in Services and E-Commerce,) Climate Change and trade and on culture and free trade. Mr. Niles has co-authored a referred journal article “The Economic Partnership Agreement and Beyond: The Case for Innovation and Industrial Policy” and has yet another academic publication forthcoming on Climate Change and Trade. He has presented on these topics in international conferences in Cuba, St. Lucia, Costa Rica and in Switzerland. He has also participated in projects and conferences in the US, Venezuela, Jamaica, Switzerland, Barbados and Turkey. As a certified youth worker for the past ten years, Mr. Niles has been involved in many community development programmes. In addition, he has been able to participate in several international outreach projects in Guyana, Suriname, Haiti and Kenya. Even further, Mr. Niles is an ardent poetry and music enthusiast and is the author of Black Grease: A Discourse in Expository Poetry on Equal Opportunity.
