Kiranne Guddoy

Senior Programme Officer, Development & Competitiveness

Kiranne is a Senior Programme Officer in the Development & Competitiveness Programme of ICTSD. She fosters strategic engagement from least developed and low income countries on trade and sustainable development issues with a view of enhancing inclusive economic growth.  

Previously Kiranne was the managing editor of Bridges Africa, a leading publication that provides trade related analysis from a sustainable development perspective for high-level policymakers and influencers. 

Her areas of focus at ICTSD are international trade, global economic governance and development issues with a particular focus on Africa.

She was previously with the Trade Department of the French embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh; the Commission of International and European Affairs of the French Senate in Paris, France; and with the UNESCO in Dakar, Senegal. 

Her academic background is in International Economic Law and Economics (Predictive Analytics) from Paris, France. Kiranne is bilingual in French and in English, and holds multiple citizenships from France, Mauritius and India.
