Rafael Jacques Rodrigues
Rafael Jacques Rodrigues, born in Brazil, is an independent consultant and researcher with a focus in environmental policies, sustainable development and international relations.
Currently based in Geneva, he has worked for the Inter-American Development Bank as a consultant on climate change policies and financing, supporting climate change budget planning and fiscal management in Brazil. He has also worked at the Global Platform on Climate Change, Trade and Sustainable Energy at ICTSD, conducting research on the multilateral negotiations at the intersection of trade and climate change. Previously, he was based in Brasilia and worked in the public service as an Environmental Analyst of the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil. He was the Deputy Head of the Office for International Affairs, and participated in a variety of multilateral negotiations and international cooperation projects.
With a background in International Relations, he has pursued interdisciplinary studies in Geography (Master, Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil) and Development (Master, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Switzerland).
