Suyen Alonso Ubieta

Associated Researcher, CINPE

Suyen Alonso Ubieta was Coeditor for Puentes. She earned a Master´s Degree on Economic Policy with emphasis in International Economics from the International Centre of Economic Policy for Sustainable Development (CINPE) at Universidad Nacional (UNA) of Costa Rica. She also has a degree on International Relations with a major in International Trade. Since 2006, she works as an Associated Researcher for CINPE on several areas such as global commodities, international trade and local economic development. Moreover, she is a Professor in courses related to Geographical Economics and Research Methodology. As part of her international experience, she has worked in national and regional research projects for different organizations, such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the European Union.
