Tristan Irschlinger is the Managing Editor, Bridges Africa and Passerelles. He has previously worked for the United Nations Centre on Trade Facilitation and e-Business (UN/CEFACT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). He completed a traineeship at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the WTO and EFTA (UNCTAD, UNECE, ITC), where he took part in the Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA) negotiations and closely followed the NAMA discussions and the dispute settlement mechanism. He also co-founded and co-leads Jet d'Encre (www.jetdencre.ch), an independent web platform publishing analytical pieces on a wide range of issues. Tristan holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from University of Geneva (valedictorian). He is a citizen of Switzerland and speaks French, English, and intermediate German.
