Ulla Kask is a Counsellor in the Agriculture and Commodities Division at the World Trade Organization. For the past seven years, her work has been focused on WTO agricultural negotiations, implementation of trading rules as well as food security issues. In the context of current trade negotiations, she has been responsible notably for the areas of domestic support and public stockholding for food security purposes. Prior to that, she worked for eight years as a Counsellor in the Division of Trade Policy Review at the WTO, particular on countries in Latin America, Africa and Europe. This experience allowed her to review and analyse the economic policies and commercial interests of many WTO Members across the world. Before joining the WTO, Ms. Kask worked in the Division on International Trade in Goods and Services and Commodities at UNCTAD in the area of economic analysis, and, more specifically, on the economic simulation of Uruguay Round results. Ulla Kask is an economist specialized on international trade issues. She holds a Master Degree in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, and has also undertaken studies in the area of Development Cooperation at the Institute of Development Studies.
