Virachai Plasai is Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy in The Hague. Formerly, he was Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs and of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. He has served as member of the legal counsel to the Royal Thai Government in various WTO disputes. He has extensive experience in litigation for Thailand (the Byrd Amendment and the Shrimp/Turtle Case) and also has expertise in International Adjudication (the Gambling case and the Boeing Case). Ambassador Plasai has worked with the Royal Thai Government since 1987.
