SummaryChina is increasingly playing a central role in global governance. Thus, Chinese government, business, and civil society organizations will be will be key players in shaping China’s role as it enters the 21st century. It is high time to engage Chinese stakeholders in the international discussions about global solutions, in that the world is confronted not only with ancient problems such as poverty, war and disease, but also new challenges such as climate change and the widening gap between rich and poor.

This book is a collection of articles that is prepared for the Bridges China Dialogue in Geneva in September 2012. It is co-edited by Dr. Scott Kennedy and Dr. Shuaihua Cheng, and jointly published by Indiana University Research Centre for Chinese Politics and Business  and the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development.

We wish that this humble exercise will serve as a cup of tea to invite our readers to join the conversation and to share your thoughts on what shall be our common future and China’s role in helping us achieve that vision.

这本书里面涵盖了一系列为2012年9月日内瓦中国高层论坛所准备的文章,由Scott Kennedy博士和Shuaihua Cheng博士共同编辑,由印第安纳大学中国政治和商业研究中心共同出版。
